The Organizing Process
The very idea of organizing your space can be overwhelming and intimidating. We’ll bring structure to the process, do all the heavy-lifting and even provide emotional support along the way! We work in a very systematic way, and most organizing projects include the following activities:
Remove all the items from the area(s) to be organized.
Thoroughly clean the area for a fresh start. (Yes, we do the cleaning too!)
Determine if any organizational products are needed for creating a new functional space. (This could include shelves, bins, folders, etc.)
Edit the items to determine what is to be returned to the space or removed. If items are to be removed, determine if they’ll be relocated, donated, sold or thrown away. Your involvement will be needed for this step, and we’ll work with you to make these decisions. We use the “Does it spark joy?” question as a helpful filter in making these editing decisions.
Place all items that are to be returned to the space, utilizing any new organizational products.
We highly recommend the use of labeling, and even provide custom vinyl labels as a finishing touch for your newly organized space!
We’ll even haul away any trash or items to be donated (sorry, no large furniture items).
“Splendid Order has made such a positive impact in my day to day life with just one visit! They helped me purge unnecessary items and re-organize my kitchen and bathroom to make sure all of my space is used in the most efficient way. Thank you!”
